Freestyle Academy proudly presents
For this project, I collaborated with my friends Sky Gommeren, David Palcios, and Jake Custodio. We sang a parody of All Star’s Smash Mouth, with Fortnite as its main theme and inspiration. We were inspired by all the times we played Fortnite together. The main things that make our production a good “parody” are the exaggerated lyrics that add a comedic effect to the song. We closely imitated the song, but just changed the lyrics to make it funnier and satirical. Additionally, our vocals were not very great, which made it even funnier when listening to it and gave it more of a parody feeling. I am most proud of our singing; it was also our most fun part of production. Editing, mixing, and incorporating audio proved to be a lot more difficult than visual/video editing I did in other projects. I do not enjoy it as much as editing on for example Photoshop or Premiere Pro, but hearing the final product was very satisfying.
